Education
Attendees have the opportunity to learn about the crocodilians and the wild cats, through verbal address and tactile experiences. Small crocodilians are used to allowing people to physically touch the skin of a crocodile. People also have the opportunity to interact with and feed the tortoises.
Each child receives coloring pages to take home, and each visitor leaves with a CrocTalk bookmark. There are a small number of items available for purchase, including greeting cards, books, CrocTalk animal pictures, hand-made necklaces, earrings, key chains, and more. Convenience items are also available for guests to purchase, such as bottled water, cold-packs, disposable cameras, batteries.
Mr. Illman has also done extensive observation and study on the crocodilians at CrocTalk.
“Alli McGator” a 7’1” American Alligator understands a number of commands from Mr. Illman and the facility houses other Crocodilians that respond to their own names! Attendees also learn about his studies of the animals and even success stories, such as, re-attaching a foot and other incidents requiring medical attention.
